On the morning of June 19, the 2025 TVET Exchange Trip to Jiangsu for ASEAN Education Officials in China and Industry-Education Integration Forum was held at Yangzhou Polytechnic University. Orientaltrans provided simultaneous interpretation services for the event, building a communication bridge between the universities of both sides.

The event was hosted by the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) and the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), guided by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, and co-organized by Yangzhou Polytechnic University and Jiangsu University of Architectural Technology. Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ACC, Yang Jun, Secretary-General of the CEAIE, Cui Chunxia, Level II Bureau Rank Official of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, and leaders of Yangzhou Polytechnic University attended the event and delivered speeches. Nine education diplomats from the embassies of six ASEAN countries in China, including Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia, joined representatives from the international education departments of six Jiangsu higher vocational colleges and four enterprises for in-depth exchanges on models and practices of industry-education integration in vocational education. Together, they explored how such integration can advance high-quality international cooperation in vocational education and further optimize the new ecosystem of Jiangsu-ASEAN industry-education integration.

During the exchange session, ASEAN diplomats spoke actively about the development of vocational education in their respective countries and expressed their expectations for deeper cooperation with Jiangsu. Mr. LOEUN Chhany, Second Secretary of the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in China, stated that Cambodia urgently needs technical and skilled talent in manufacturing and other sectors. Vocational education cooperation with Jiangsu can help cultivate more high-quality workers aligned with modern industrial development needs, thereby supporting the diversified development of Cambodia’s economy.

At the event, the distinctive strengths and achievements of vocational education across Jiangsu cities drew considerable attention. Leaders from Jiangsu vocational colleges and industry took turns at the podium, presenting ASEAN diplomats with concrete data and compelling case studies that showcased Jiangsu's remarkable achievements in program development, faculty building, and university-enterprise cooperation.
